Obituary for Richard Scott
SCOTT, RICHARD LOUIS, age 83, of Carson City, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
There will be no services. Cremation will take place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant.
Richard was born November 19, 1939, in Chetek, Wisconsin, the son of Louis and Dora (Barton) Scott. He graduated from Wisconsin Seventh Day Adventist Academy with the class of 1958. On November 20, 1960, Richard married Maxine M. Marsh in Waitsburg, Washington. Richard was a second-generation turkey farmer in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, where he and Maxine raised their family. He was a member of Frost Seventh Day Adventist Church in Stanton. Richard had many hobbies; he loved his garden and his grandchildren, singing, traveling, and beekeeping. He also enjoyed hiking and exploring.
Richard is survived by his wife Maxine Scott of Carson City; children, Clifford Scott of Mississippi, Rosalie Scott of Spokane, WA, Dawn (Jordan) Dickens of Carson City, William Scott of Menomonie, WI, Joseph Scott of Bowling Green, KY; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers John Scott of Hopkinsville, KY, David (Sue) Scott of Hudson, WI; sisters Patsy Howard of Sun City, AZ, Helen (Tom) Mott of St. Paul, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Cory Scott; brother Steve Scott; and sister Joy Licht.
