Obituary for Leona Golden
Leona H. Golden, 68, of Sumner, Mich succumbed to lung cancer August 28,2022 at My Michigan Health- Gratiot in Alma, Mich.
She was born April 30th, 1954 in Joplin, MO to the late Clifford Dewayne and Peggy Mae (Patrick) Christensen. She was a member of The Living Word Bible Church of Crystal, Mich where she learned of Jesus’s love for us. She loved gardening with her flowers and caring for her houseplants. She enjoyed thrift shopping and a good yard sale. Watching paranormal shows with the grandkids and soap operas with her loving husband. Constantly making fun of almost everything they seen on TV. She enjoyed many adventures mushrooming Up North with her loved ones and pupper dogs, and of course good long visits with her friends old and new.
She is survived by her husband Frank Duane Golden of Sumner, son Cody Duane Golden of Wheeler, daughters Christina Irene (Fredric) Low and Alisha Mae Golden of Sumner, and Dana Lynn Routhaeux of North Carolina. Grandchildren Cameron James and Caylee Irene of Cedar Springs, Mich. Hope Huss of Northstar, Christopher Abbott and Marshall Abbott of North Carolina.
She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews with Audra Lin Christensen holding a special spot close to her heart.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and her siblings Theresa Turner, Clifford Duane Christensen and Kay Patrick.
A celebration of life will be hosted by The Living Word Bible Church of Crystal, Mich on October 9th following church services around 1p.m. In Lieu of flowers, those wishing to express sympathy are asked by the family to send cards to PO BOX 575, Sumner, Mich 48889.
