Obituary for Gordon Foster Sr.
Gordon Ray Foster Sr., age 64, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant on Thursday October 6, 2022.
Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory, no services for Gordon are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Gordon was born to Donald and Lola (Pontz) Foster on May 13, 1958 in Lansing, Michigan. He was a hard working man and spoke often of his job as porch caretaker at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. He then went on to work as a community service supervisor with the probate court in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.
Gordon enjoyed fishing, traveling, airplanes, and being outdoors.
He was an all around people person and enjoyed conversation with anyone he could encounter. He enjoyed music and watching TV with family and friends.
He especially loved spending time with family and his grandchildren were the pride of his heart. He also loved his beagles Ollie, Snoopy and Buddy.
Gordon is survived by his children; Gorgia (Evan) Russell, Joe (Renita) Foster, Carol Hoffman, Jeanna Foster, and Gordon Foster Jr.; grandchildren, Arieanna Foster, Hannah Foster, Alexis Hoffman, Jay Foster, Peyton Hoffman, Kayden Hoffman, Avery Hoffman, and Mason Foster; brother, Gary Foster and sister Jessica Moss.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to caretaker Rose Pasch-Shufelt and the nurses at the Davita Dialysis Center.
