Obituary for Dennis Kalil
Dennis Joseph Kalil, father, pastor and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at McLaren Central Michigan after a month long battle with Covid at the age of 58.
Dennis is survived by his children, Lance Kalil (Trisha Cook), Nicole Kalil (Jesse Fernandez), Ashley Kalil and Amber Kalil; several grandchildren that were the light of his life; his parents Phillip and Joanne Kalil, two brothers and best friends Kenneth Kalil (Kathy) & Phillip Kalil Jr., and three sisters Kathy Kalil, Patty Beilfuss (Jeff) & Mary Schumer (Joseph Schumer), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was born on July 3, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, to Phillip and Joanne Kalil. He served in the US Army and later welcomed his four children which were the most important part of his life.
Dennis had a passion for God, people, nature and family. He served as a pastor for Prophets Rock Church and ministered with several pastors across the Mid-West. His reach was far, and his love reached even further. Dennis had a true love for his honey bees, hunting, fishing and he definitely had the gift of gab. His uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way inspired many. His hugs will be missed by all that knew him and his kind words will be remembered by all he had touched.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Prophets Rock Church, 3172 S Gilmore Rd, Mt.Pleasant MI 48858.
