Obituary for Betty Assman
Assmann, Betty Marie, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away June 12, 2022 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan.
Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant. https://www.daisyhillcrematory.com/ . A Celebration of Bettys life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Evening Bloomers Garden Club. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Betty was born to George and Cora (Potter) Luchenbill on March 27, 1934 in Durand MI. Betty graduated from Durand Highschool, class of 1952 and went on to attend Central Michigan University. She worked as a seamstress for many years serving the Mt. Pleasant community as well as several years working in the Ric’s Food Center Deli and volunteered much of her time at McLaren Hospital of Central Michigan.
Betty was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist choir, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 55 and the Evening Bloomers Garden Club. Betty enjoyed knitting, sewing and tatting gifts for her friends and family. She especially loved to golf and spent a lot of her time at the Mt. Pleasant Country Club.
Betty is survived by her son, Alexander (Becky) Assmann of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Krista Assmann and Aaron Assmann (Amanda Bowler); great-grandchildren, Skyler Seeley and Quinn Assmann; and sister Lucille Warner of Durand, MI.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Warren Assmann; and brothers Albert Luchenbill and Wyman Luchenbill.
